Today we began working on choreographing and solidifying specific movement sequences to open the show. We found that using certain props to help lead the sequences gave them a clear purpose and shared physicality, for instance we played with headphones to find out some interesting moves incorporating them before coming together to tighten up the choreography.
This of course presented us with the fact that the headphones actually had to get on stage somehow, so we improvised how that could happen, throwing them over the edge of the set and up through trap doors.
Towards the end of the day our sound designer and composer Jason Nolan presented us with around ten minutes of new music to accompany the movement sequences we had been working on, and the rest of the afternoon was spent putting it all together.
Safe to say the movement is securely set in our minds and muscles, right guys? Right? We know it, right? Yeah, we know it.
We don't know it yet.
Bye for now,
